Made-to-Measure Suits in Miami
Made-to-measure is where most first commissions begin, and where a lot of people discover what a suit is supposed to feel like. It carries the house cut and proportion into a machine-made garment, on a calendar of five to eight weeks, from $1,750.
What it is not: a rack suit taken in at the waist. We work from an extended measurement set and your working posture against our fitting garments, so the pattern is adjusted to you across the shoulders, chest, waist, seat and sleeve before anything is cut.
What it is not, either: a compromise you should apologise for. For a suit worn hard through a working week, it is often the more sensible commission.
How a commission runs

Consultation and cloth
One appointment, usually about an hour. We talk through where the suit is going — an office, a wedding, travel, evenings — and choose cloth against that rather than against a swatch book in the abstract. Lapel, button stance, vents, lining, trouser cut and finish are all settled here.

Measurement, posture, fitting garment
An extended set of measurements, taken alongside how you actually hold yourself, and checked against our fitting garments in your nearest size. That last step is the one most made-to-measure skips, and it is why a lot of made-to-measure arrives close but not right.

The garment is made
Cut and constructed in your chosen cloth to the adjusted pattern. Five to eight weeks, depending on cloth availability and the season — expect the longer end before the winter wedding run.

Fitting and local adjustment
The completed suit is brought to you and you wear it. Precise adjustments are noted and performed locally rather than sent away, then handed over at a final fitting. Your measurements and preferences stay on file for whatever you commission next.
Made-to-measure or bespoke?
If it is your first commission, or the suit is for a working week rather than an occasion, made-to-measure is usually the right call — the cut is the same, the calendar is half as long, and the money is better spent on cloth than on hand-work you may not notice yet. Choose bespoke when your proportions sit outside what any adjusted pattern handles well, or when you want the staged fitting and the hand-built canvas that comes with it.
Cloth for a warm city
Most suiting cloth was woven for a colder climate than this one. We work in high-twist wools, open weaves, linen and cotton that hold a line in heat rather than surrendering to it, alongside heavier English and Italian cloths for travel and evening. In a city that is warm eleven months of the year, that choice does more for how a suit wears than almost anything else.
